Jewish Community Center of the Greater Palm Beaches
The mission of the Jewish Community Center is to help create a strong Jewish community by providing high quality programs close to where people live that connect people to Jewish life. The JCC has two facilities - the Ross JCC in Boynton Beach and JCC North in Palm Beach Gardens.
The JCC connects children and families to Jewish life through its preschools, camps, afterschool programs and enrichment programs. The Edward and Thelma Glantz Early Childhood Center in Boynton Beach and the Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt Early Childhood Center in West Palm Beach are known for their commitment to high-quality education with an emphasis both on the acquisition of skills necessary to enter the grade-school environment and on the inculcation of Jewish family values in Jewish life.
The Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt Camp Shalom in Boynton Beach and the Leonard and Sophie Davis Camp Shalom in Palm Beach Gardens offer a Jewish summer camp experiences for children ages 3 through 16. In addition, children participate in the JCC's after-school programs, sports leagues, and enrichment classes and families share in dozens of JCC family programs and events such as the Community Hanukkah Candle Lighting.
The JCC’s Wellness Department is a comprehensive program designed to promote healthy living in our community. The JCC has group exercise classes, yoga, older adult movement, physical and occupational therapy, wellness education classes and lectures at both locations. In addition, the Ross JCC offers personal training and a full service workout facility in Boynton Beach.
Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival and Jewish Book Festival are the signature Cultural Arts programs in the Jewish community. The Film Festival is one of the largest and most highly regarded festivals in the nation. As a proud member of the Jewish Book Network the JCC plans over 15 author events throughout the year including the Annual Book Festival Luncheon in November at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.
The JCC has many opportunities for adults to engage in programs and activities including The Academy for Continuing Education at the Ross JCC, The Center for Jewish Spirituality at JCC North and numerous social clubs, events and programs that engage adults with the Jewish community each year.
The JCC keeps people connected to Israel through community wide events such as Yom HaAtzmaut, as well as Israeli programming in our Preschool, Summer Camp, and Adult Education programs.
The JCC reaches out to the broader community to make the world a better place by partnering with gated communities, synagogues, partner agencies and several local businesses on tikun olam projects such as the annual food and clothing drives.
