One of the measures of a community’s values is its commitment to compassionate care. Our Chaplaincy program meets the religious needs of our Jewish community by visiting hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, prisons and facilities for the disabled, providing life-enriching programs for those who need it most. Our Chaplain acts as a resource for Jewish traditions for our community.

Are you a young professional? Are you yearning to be a leader among your peers? If so, the Emerging Leadership Project is for you. This collaboration between Federation’s Campaign Department and the Mandel Center for Excellence in Leadership identifies, engages, educates and prepares our community’s most prominent young Jewish leaders so that they are ready to assume major leadership roles throughout Palm Beach County.

Helping a child learn to read is one of the most rewarding things a person can do! As part of Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council, the award-winning Anne & Sam Klein Jewish Coalition for Literacy program has helped more than 3,000 public elementary school students in more than 40 elementary schools improve their reading scores. Next Gen Jewish Palm Beach convenes Jewish organizational professionals who manage programming and engagement for Jews in their 20s and 30s in the Greater Palm Beaches. By networking these individuals, we are helping to build capacity in and encourage collaboration between and among their organizations. Our programs—including community networking breakfasts and professional advancement workshops—enrich the skills of these individuals and reinforce bonds within the network of program providers, leading to a stronger, better-supported, better-networked environment for Palm Beach’s Jewish 20s and 30s.

Kennedy stated: “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” The Mandel Center for Excellence in Leadership, a Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County program, is dedicated to engaging and developing high-performance volunteer and professional leaders here in Palm Beach. The sum is only as strong as its parts. That’s why the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County is so committed to strengthening synagogues – the centers of Jewish vibrancy – in our community.
