Chaplaincy
Fulfilling the Spiritual Needs of our Community
Through the Chaplaincy Program, the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County is able to lead Shabbat and holiday services for those typically unable to partake in Jewish customs and rituals because of a variety of reasons, including being homebound, unable to travel and/or incarcerated. Among the valuable outreach services provided:
- Comfort and counseling to hospital patients and their families
- A more comfortable environment for Jewish residents at nursing homes
- Religious services, kosher food packages and pastoral counseling for inmates at correctional facilities
- Videotaped services for the High Holy Days and Passover for homebound seniors
- Holiday celebrations for those with special needs
- Explaining Jewish beliefs and practices to organizations and those who want to learn more about Judaism
