Palm Beach County is the fourth largest Jewish community in the country, and the largest in Florida.

  • 137,300 people live in 69,000 Jewish households
  • 57% are age 65 and over
  • 74% are married; 14% widowed
  • 79% of married couples are in-married
  • 84% of households are synagogue members at some time during their adult lives

92% of households own their own homes Median home value is $305,900 Median household income is $69,800

88% of households reported that they donated to one or more charities in the past year

Among the reasons people donated at least $100 to Federation or other Jewish charities were the following “very important motivations”:

  • “Combating anti-Semitism” – 73%
  • “Providing social services for the Jewish elderly” – 64%
  • “Supporting the people of Israel – 63%
  • “Providing Jewish education for children” – 63%
  • “Helping Jews overseas who are in distress” – 55%
