Your Impact on Older Adults in Palm Beach County
Florida is home to more than 4.2 million residents over the age of 60; Palm Beach County is the second most densely populated area for older adults in the state.
Needless to say – through our partner agency Alpert Jewish Family & Children’s Service (AJFCS) – we are in the right place at the right time, providing the right services.
February is National Senior Independence Month, so we are showing you the vital services of your generosity provides for this crucial part of our population:
- Each week, workshops are held at senior centers to teach people with chronic health conditions the self-management skills they need for daily living.
- Enhanced Companions help older adults remain active and independent in the comfort of their own homes. The services of an Enhanced Companion provide high quality, affordable support services.
- A full-spectrum of behavioral health services such as support groups, counseling, psychological testing and psychiatric services.
- Our guardianship staff includes RNs, MSWs, a Geriatric Psychiatrist, a Physician, an accounting department and attorneys who will represent on a pro bono basis if needed.
