Enthusiasm and Encouragement Highlight 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting
Nearly 300 people attended the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County's 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at Lands of the President, 2300 Presidential Way in West Palm Beach.
The event featured cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, with videos highlighting the work of Federation's partner agencies (Click to view our partner video), a welcome by 50th Anniversary Chair Zelda Mason, message from Federation President Mark F. Levy, the Installation of the 2013 Officers and Board of Directors, presentation of the Robert S. & Ceil N. Levy Young Leadership Awards (A message from founder and recipients), the Emerging Leadership Project Class of 2012 graduation (Click to view) , a video celebrating 50 years of Jewish community (Click to view) and keynote address -- "Towards Tomorrow" -- by Federation CEO David Phillips.
IberiaBank was the lead event sponsor, with additional support provided by Morrison, Brown, Argiz and Farra, LLC, Argonaut Productions, Blue Sky Productions and Preferred Printing.
"This is a time of hope, dreams and aspirations for our Jewish community," said David Phillips. "It is time to look ahead to our next half-century of impact. Federation is prepared to be the catalyst for thoughtful, dynamic and well-managed change that will make us a stronger, more vital Jewish community."
Echoing Phillips' sentiments, Zelda Mason added, "Over the course of our history we have learned that when we work together we work better, we work stronger and we work smarter. Communal synergy will give us the future we all hope and dream of."
