Innovation Fund Announces Grants for Three New Programs
The Innovation Fund – Federation's high-impact grants program that represents a new, forward-thinking philosophy – has announced three new programs joining our community in the coming year.
The programs will receive seed funding by The Innovation Fund and were selected based on criteria established by a request for proposal process. This is a shift from Federation's conventional allocations process.
After careful review and consideration, The Innovation Fund will fund three programs, which will collaborate with Federation's local partner agencies to meet unique and emerging needs in our community.
1. The Palm Beach Jewish Boomer Platform (multi-year grant)
Lead Organization: B3/The Jewish Boomer Platform
Partners: Alpert Jewish Family & Children's Service, MorseLife, Mandel JCC, Friedman Commission for Jewish Education (CJE), community synagogues
Goal: Energize and deepen connections to Jewish life for the baby boomer generation, our community’s largest age demographic.
2. Big Tent Judaism Initiative (multi-year grant)
Lead Organization: Big Tent Judaism/Jewish Outreach Institute
Partners: Mandel JCC, Friedman CJE, and community synagogues
Goal: Enhance efforts to connect less-engaged individuals and families within our Jewish community to Jewish Life through unique programming and stronger institutional partnerships.
3. Storytelling Festival at Mandel JCC Book Festival
Lead Organization: Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches
Partners: Friedman CJE's PJ Library® program
Goal: Promote informal Jewish education and the love of reading in our community’s children, through an additional pathway which includes appearances by nationally-known Jewish childrens authors.
