Jewish Professionals Network
It’s a new day for business professionals in Palm Beach County and a new identity for the Jewish Professionals Network (JPN)!
Between June 2013 and November 2013, the (former) Business & Professions Division engaged a Task Force in a re-envisioning process. The Task Force, which represented a cross section of the community, including geographically, professionally, gender, and new and historic participants in the Federation mission, went through an education and rebranding process – which was chaired by Brian Seymour, Chair of Business & Professions Division, and led by Diane Scherer, Director of Business & Professions Division.
"Doing good is good for business," said Seymour. “The mission of the Jewish Professionals Network (JPN) is to help enhance business and personal relationships and provide meaningful mitzvot for the Jewish community.”
With a new name and mission statement, JPN reviewed and recommitted to the division’s priorities as well:
- Philanthropic giving, inclusive of hands-on service for the betterment of the Jewish community;
- Networking that is distinct from what is available in other business groups; and
- Mentoring & Leadership Development.
According to Scherer, JPN will continue to engage members of the Jewish community who live and work in our area and connect them with the mission of Federation and the Jewish community as a whole. Further, JPN will provide various occasions for community members to touch, feel and become inspired by the life-changing work of the Federation and its partner agencies; work collaboratively with other Federation divisions and committees, as well as with other Jewish communal Institutions, including Federation partner agencies, synagogues, and others; and measure success in meaningful ways that relate to the mission of the Jewish Federation – building community and providing for needs that are uniquely the responsibility of the Jewish community.
