Learning and Growing With Friedman CJE's PJ Library Program
PJ Library®, an international program implemented locally by the Friedman Commission for Jewish Education (Friedman CJE), is focused on engagement and learning for families throughout the Jewish community. More than 1,200 children in the greater Palm Beaches, from the ages of 6 months to 6 years, receive free, high-quality Jewish children's literature and music mailed to their homes every month. Parents receive a monthly e-newsletter, as well as opportunities for direct contact with a knowledgeable professional staff person to steer them in the direction of a vast array of local Jewish learning and living resources to help their family connect, learn and grow.
Suzanne Goldberg, a PJ Library parent, shared her gratitude for the program when she said, "I just wanted to thank you for the PJ Library. Shira loves to revisit her Jewish books, and we do so often. They are treasured in our home. She is attending a Jewish day school and thriving. Now that she has learned to read by herself, on more than one occasion, I have walked into a room to find her reading PJ Library books to her baby brother. It's a beautiful sight to witness. Thank you for all your efforts to bring this wonderful program into so many households."
