Madeleine Albright on "Mosaic"

Watch MOSAIC on Sunday, March 10 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on WPTV/Channel 5, the NBC affiliate in West Palm Beach, when the special guest will be former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who was in town recently for an event at the Commission for Jewish Education, a partner agency of Federation.

Albright was the first woman to become the United States Secretary of State, nominated by President Bill Clinton. She was unanimously confirmed by a U.S. Senate vote of 99-0.

Currently Professor of International Relations at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service, Albright holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University and numerous honorary degrees. She also serves as a Director on the Board of the Council on Foreign Relations.

In May 2012, Albright was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Obama.

She is fluent in English, French, Russian and Czech; speaks and reads Polish and Serbo-Croatian.
