Meyer Academy Student Delivers Powerful Presentation for Jewish Disability Awareness Month
As part of Jewish Disability Awareness Month, Meyer Academy student Benji Gans shared his personal journey with Autism to middle school students during a special assembly on Monday, February 8.
Benji is continuously overcoming the challenges of autism through therapy, both traditional and alternative, a lot of perseverance and love from his family. This was his first official speaking engagement, although he plans to speak at other schools to increase awareness.
Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County is focused on creating inclusive and welcoming communities through programs for people with special needs. Meyer Academy, a K-8 Jewish day school in Palm Beach Gardens, is a partner agency of Federation.
