New report from Russia shows Jewish life resurgence largely due to Palm Beach-St. Petersburg partnership
In St. Petersburg, Russia – where Jewish life was once nearly wiped out – the Jewish community is experiencing an inspiring resurgence of connections and vibrancy, thanks largely to a partnership with our local community.
Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County's partnership with St. Petersburg has transformed the area into a thriving model for Jewish resurgence taking place across the former Soviet Union. Through your generosity, we are providing unparalleled opportunities for Jewish learning and engagement.
A new status report from St. Petersburg tells us about the many projects this year that are ensured through dollars raised in the greater Palm Beaches:
- 60 children ages 6 to 10 will enjoy a transformative Jewish camp experience this summer.
- 1,000 students participate in Jewish community celebrations, enlightening Jewish-themed programs and exciting community projects.
- 40 Jewish teens take part in volunteer projects with disadvantaged families, frail elderly and young people with special needs.
- 800 students have taken part in informative Hillel seminars, connecting them with Israel and their Jewish identity.
Your dollars to Federation’s Annual Campaign ensure young Jews and their families in St. Petersburg are building vibrant Jewish future and robust community.
