Give the gift of yourself to the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and/or its partners. Your compassion...your talents...your time...and your generosity are important to us – and vital to our Jewish family here at in the Greater Palm Beaches, in Israel as well as 70 countries around the world. There are so many ways to get involved:

Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County

  • Call (561) 242-6612 or email to serve on committees; assist at special events; solicit others to support Israel and the Jewish people; host intimate fundraising events; or provide clerical support and assist with mailings. You can also become involved with Women's Philanthropy, Business & Professions and organized groups in gated communities.
  • Call (561) 478-0700 to become a Chaplain Aide, visiting residents and conducting Shabbat and holiday services in nursing homes, retirement centers and other locations where Jews would otherwise be unable to celebrate Jewish traditions and holidays.
  • Call (561) 242-6694 or email to become a reading partner, helping students improve their reading skills in public elementary schools as a volunteer of the Anne & Sam Klein Jewish Coalition for Literacy. A minimum one-hour-per-week commitment is required.
  • Call (561) 242-6694 or email to advocate for Israel and other local, national and global issues of importance to the Jewish community.

Call (561) 686-6520 to tutor students in Hebrew, computers, math, science or reading.

Lorraine & Jack N. Friedman Commission for Jewish Education of the Palm Beaches

Call (561) 640-0700 to teach courses and offer workshops for teachers and educators in the community; teach adult education courses in community synagogues and institutions; participate in think tanks to understand best practices in education;  serve as a special education aide in religious school classrooms; maintain a computerized catalog system at the Teacher Center Library and serve as a librarian in Teacher Resource Centers; work with high school students who perform community service; and assist with mailings.

Jewish Community Center of the Greater Palm Beaches

Call (561) 689-7700 in Palm Beach Gardens or (561) 740-9000 in Boynton Beach to assist at celebrations and community events; become a teen counselor, leader or peer mentor; provide clerical assistance; conduct membership tours; work at a senior arts & crafts or music program; or volunteer at the preschool.

Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family & Children’s Service

Call (561) 684-1991 to become a mentor or enhanced companion; be a Shalom Visitor (visiting nursing homes and adult care facilities); or driver. Entertain; help in the office; make holiday baskets during the year; or sort canned goods for the Kosher Food Pantry.

Anne & Sam Klein Jewish Coalition for Literacy Volunteers Make a Difference!

The Anne & Sam Klein Jewish Coalition for Literacy, part of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s Jewish Community Relations Council, recruits and trains volunteers to be reading partners in more than 40 area elementary public schools to improve students’ reading skills.
