Anne & Sam Klein Jewish Coalition for Literacy Volunteers Make a Difference!

Pay It Forward, as a Volunteer Reading Partner
The Anne & Sam Klein Jewish Coalition for Literacy, part of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s Jewish Community Relations Council, recruits and trains volunteers to be reading partners in more than 40 area elementary public schools to improve students’ reading skills.
Following a three-and-a-half hour training, conducted by a reading specialist, volunteers devote a minimum of one hour per week -- at the school of their choice -- helping a child learn to read (and gain better reading comprehension).
Contact Sheri Siegal at 561-242-6694 or email to become a Reading Partner or for more information.
Schools currently in need of volunteers include:
- Acreage Pines Elementary, 14200 Orange Bolvd. in Loxahatchee
- Baron Elemetary, 1700 Barton Road in Lake Worth
- Jerry Thomas Elementary, 800 Maplewood Drive in Jupiter
- Cholee Lakes Elementary, 6680 Dillman Road in Greenacres
