Your Connection at Any Stage of Life
Federation is a lifeline of hope and support for Jews of all ages. We support a complete system of senior services, including: food packages, in-home respite care, adult day care centers, meals-on-wheels, holiday programs, an advocate for homebound seniors, prescription aid, supportive neighborhood communities and much more.
The United States’ senior population is projected to double over the next 30 years, including a large increase of frail elderly (those older than 85). During this period, caring for our elders will become one of the most complex and expensive problems our society will face.
This shifting trend will affect American Jewish community disproportionately, as close to 20 percent of Jews are already over the age of 65, compared to less than 13 percent of the general population. In addition, a significant number of elderly Jews are over the age of 85 and need help with daily activities like eating, dressing, and walking.
We celebrate those community members that are 50+. Federation continues to be an integral part of keeping our community interconnected.
- We engage our community through a diverse array of programs connecting you to Jewish life
- We develop programs and services that are flexible with your schedules and available where you are
- We work with neighboring synagogues and communal organizations to create greater ties within our Jewish community
- We help groom volunteer and professional leaders of all ages with the skills and passion to strengthen Jewish life
Ours is a vibrant community filled with opportunities to connect with like-minded people – your friends and neighbors, old and new!
