Funds Available for Overnight Jewish Summer Camps

Thinking about what to do next summer for your children? It is never too early to make plans for overnight Jewish summer camp experiences. Studies show that summer camp has a profound and long-lasting effect on a child’s Jewish identity. Funds are now available! A family can receive up to $2,500 for their child to have a summer and Jewish experience to remember.

We are all aware that children these days are natural technology users. They have the innate skills to research, the natural abilities to integrate information, the talent to multi-task and the innovative perspective to incorporate all the data around them into one global perspective. It is just this philosophy that led the Arthur I. Meyer Jewish Academy to embark on its iPad initiative this year. At the start of the 2011-2012 school year, iPads were provided to Meyer Academy middle school students as well Kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms.

After-School Program Opens at JCC in Boynton Beach

The opening of the Ben Gamla Charter School at Temple Torah in August 2011 created the opportunity for the Ross Jewish Community Center in Boynton Beach to launch a new after-school program rooted in Jewish culture, holidays, and values. The JCC’s After-School Program is a high-caliber Jewish experiential education program that supplements Synagogue Religious Schools by offering education and engagement to hundreds of families in the Boynton Beach/Lake Worth community.
