2017 Innovation Grants

Innovation Grant for Community Synagogues

Thanks to a generous grant from Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s Innovation Fund, we are awarding five (5) Innovation Grants to our community synagogues of up to $3,000 each.

The goal of these grants is to empower our synagogues to reach out to the under- and dis-engaged with innovative programming and experimental ideas that are both out of the box and courageous in scope. Through these grants, we hope to encourage programs and/or experiences that are experimental and stretch the borders of our synagogues. People who are disaffiliated or unengaged and consider themselves outside of the periphery of the organized Jewish community are the intended focus of these grants.

To be eligible, synagogues must be within Federation’s service area (Boynton Beach in the south to Martin County in the north and Wellington to the west).

The deadline for applications is May 15, 2017, and the grants will be awarded by June 1, 2017.

These grants are one-time and must be used within one year of the grant start date.
