Planned Giving Options
Through Planned Giving & Endowments, we can help you plan for the future and potentially receive great tax benefits. Whether it’s a charitable gift annuity, a charitable lead trust, or a gift of life insurance, you can fulfill your financial and retirement needs while supporting the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County's efforts.
We understand that charitable planning - like estate, tax and financial planning - is a personal and individual process. However, we are also aware that effective philanthropy is as much the result of great wealth as good planning.
Several options are available for your planned giving - all of which speak to PG&E’s goal to accumulate permanent resources to support the continuity of Jewish life, programs and services in our community, Israel and 70 countries around the world. Take a look at some of the options below:

Life Insurance
A Gift of Life Insurance can establish an endowment fund to create permanent support for the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and generate an income-tax charitable deduction for the donor. Establish a significant Endowment Fund, perhaps to perpetuate one's annual campaign gift, at low actual cost. Guarantee future support for the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. Perpetuate one's family name. A donor may accomplish this by purchasing a life-insurance policy on his or her life, and naming the Federation as the beneficiary. The policy is then contributed to the Federation, with the instruction that the ownership be changed to Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and that the net proceeds of the policy be used to establish an Endowment Fund, perhaps to perpetuate one's annual campaign gift. At the death of the insured, the fund is established in his or her name, thereby bringing perpetual honor and memory to the family name. The donor may also claim that contribution as an income-tax charitable deduction, reducing the effective cost of the annual premium from what it would have been had the donor retained ownership of the policy. So your IRA will be helping both you and the causes you care about — at the same time.

Potential returns of up to 11.5 percent. Payments begin at age 65 — annuitants 65 and older receive immediate income. Fixed, quarterly income for the donor’s lifetime. A Philanthropic Fund (a.k.a. Donor Advised Fund)
This separately identified fund may be created by a donor with Federation as a cost-effective and efficient way to give charitably. Donors and their designees may make grants from their funds to both Jewish and secular charitable organizations that qualify under IRS guidelines. A DAF can substitute for a private foundation; allows donors to time their charitable giving to coincide with tax planning needs; may involve family members as grant advisors, regardless of where they live; and can build a permanent philanthropic legacy. And all of this can be managed online. Click here for details.
